This is correct, cisco doesn’t have a separate download for the launcher it seems after searching their downloads you must get it from the device itself. I do not see any reason 2fa auth wil block ASDM download, may be any security end device restrictions? I have tried different java version, for me it seems like asdm problem. If you have Java 9 or newer installed you will have to do a couple more steps.

That same version is working fine for me on a 64-bit Windows 7 PC – whether in demo mode or logging into an actual ASA. Can anyone point me to the working ADSM demo software on Windwows. I am not 100 percent sure, but it appears to be Corretto needs to be installed first and then ASDM either installed or reinstalled. I then decided to install ASDM again, browsed to IP of ASA and downloaded it. I installed ASDM, then went out and grabbed Corretto. This will work on the latest Java 8 version, so no reason to compromise security here.

The software launches, I enter the destination and my creds but then it says “Unable to launch device manager from x.x.x.x”
Launcher version checking is successful. The defaut cisco/cisco does not work. Can U confirm that the latest version works for you? Moreover I have tried two different versions. Ran the install and it now works.
